As part of the Freetown WASH and Aquatic Environment Revamping Project (WASHAERP), Guma Valley Water Company (GVWC) is implementing Lot 2B: Design, Supply, and Installation of a 45km Distribution System Extension within selected communities in Freetown, Sierra Leone. This Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) has been prepared to guide the management of any temporary disturbances that may arise during pipeline installation within a 4-meter corridor across Allen Town, Hill Station, Hooke Street (Kissy), and Mambo. The RAP is publicly disclosed in line with the African Development Bank (AfDB) safeguards and disclosure requirements, to ensure transparency, accountability, and proper engagement with affected communities throughout project implementation.
This subproject involves the design, supply, and installation of approximately 45 km of water distribution pipelines within a narrow corridor of 4 meters, spanning the following communities:
1. Allen Town
2. Hill Station
3. Hooke Street
4. Mambo
