Service Areas

The East Area Office covers Allen Town to Eastern Police. Area East receives the bulk of its water supply from the Mile 13 Dam but is also supported by the Cemetery Blue Weir, Thunder Hill Weir and Mamba Ridge Weir.

Area Central Office covers Eastern Police, Circular Road up to Congo Cross. Area Central receives the bulk of its water supply from the Mile 13 Dam but is also supported by the Kongo Dam, Sugar Loaf and White-Water Weir.

The West Area Office covers Wilberforce, Hill Station and Congo Cross all the way to the Treatment Plant and Sussex. Area West receives all of its water supply from the Mile 13 Dam.

The Offices are semi-autonomous with an Area Manager as the Head. The Area Manager reports to the Commercial Director at Head Office. The Area Office supervises the activities of the Area Customer Officer, the Area Engineer, the Area Commercial Officer, Area Admin Officer and Technical and Customer Staff. Key Roles and Responsibilities of the Area include:

1. Oversees the operation of the area office and reports to the Director of Commercial Services;
2. Has direct responsibility for Billing and Collections for Area.
3. Ensure Performance targets for the area are met.
4. Record data on indicator prepares monthly reports by the second day of every month, and when called upon, should be ready to present the report to Management;
5. Ensure that relevant customer data is captured / updated in EDAMS.
6. Liaises with the Director of Water and Technical Services and the Chief Engineer on all engineering works and other matters relating to engineering:
   • Extension of Sub –mains;
   • Maintenance and repairs;
   • Valve regulation, etc.
   • New Service Connections
   • Customer Services functions
